About Sonance
Sonance created architectural audio. The company introduced the world’s first in-wall loudspeaker in 1983 and has spent four decades on a single idea: technology should be Designed to Disappear. That idea now spans in-ceiling and in-wall loudspeakers, completely invisible speakers, small aperture speakers, TV audio, hidden bass, outdoor and landscape audio, marine and commercial audio, amplification, and the flush mounting technology that makes all of it vanish into the architecture. Sonance products are specified by designers and integrators in more than 120 countries and are sold exclusively through authorized dealers.
Josh.ai Integration Overview
Both companies are in the business of removing technology from the room. Josh.ai removes the
interface, so there is no app to hunt for and no menu to learn, just a request spoken out loud. Sonance
removes the hardware, so the speaker finishes under the plaster, the subwoofer lives in the cabinetry,
and the Josh Micro sets flush into the wall. Sonance DSP amplifiers integrate directly into the Josh.ai
distributed audio workflow, which means the music follows you through the house and nobody has to
think about the system delivering it.
- Ask like you would ask a person: “OK Josh, play Miles Davis in the kitchen and something quiet in
the dining room.” Josh finds it, wakes the amplifier, and sends it to the right rooms. No app, no
menu, no thinking about it. -
The music follows you: Walk from the kitchen to the terrace and it comes along. Or give every
room its own, and let one house hold four different moods at once. - Your voice is the volume knob: Say turn it down and it turns down. Nobody stands up, nobody
hunts for a dial, nobody misses the next line of dialogue. -
Outside is just another room: The terrace and the garden answer the same request as the living
room, from speakers buried in the planting. -
Four ways in, none of them a chore: Speak, tap the Josh app, pick up a remote, or touch the screen
on the wall. Whichever is closest wins. -
Nothing to see, nothing to learn: The speakers are under the plaster and the interface is your
voice. Guests never work out where the sound is coming from.

The Sonance Family of Brands
Five brands, one philosophy. Each one exists to let technology deliver more while showing less.
TRUFIG
TRUFIG ends the compromise between control and clean walls. Hardware sets completely flush into the
surface with no bezel and no shadow line, which is why TRUFIG and Josh.ai co-developed a dedicated in-
wall solution for the Josh Micro: a platform and fascia that let a guest speak to the house without ever
seeing what they are speaking to. The same treatment extends to keypads, touchscreens, outlets,
sensors, and Sonance and James speakers, so a room can hold everything a family needs and still look
the way the architect drew it. [trufig.com]
Sonance
Sonance is the brand that made the speaker disappear, and it has been refining that idea since 1983.
The Invisible Series is the purest expression of it: speakers that finish beneath drywall, plaster,
wallpaper, wood veneer, even leather, so a room fills with sound from a wall that has nothing on it. The
Visual Experience Series brings the same discipline to trimless, paintable in-ceiling designs for the rest
of the house. Outdoors, Landscape Series satellites and buried subwoofers spread even, natural sound
across a garden from hardware hidden in the planting, which is the difference between a yard with
speakers in it and a yard that simply sounds beautiful. [sonance.com]
James
James is what a project reaches for when nothing is allowed to intrude. Small Aperture speakers deliver
full, room-filling sound through an opening the size of a recessed light, with grilles fabricated to match
the color, texture, and even the wood grain around them, and the flagship SA68 carries the rooms that
matter most. Hidden Bass applies the same thinking to the low end: PowerPipe X subwoofers live inside
a ceiling, a wall cavity, or a cabinet and port their output into the room, so a film lands in your chest with
nothing anywhere to explain where it came from. SPL and QX-SPL SoundBars, built to order in custom
lengths, finish the front of a room the same way. [James splash page]
Blaze
Blaze by Sonance is the workhorse: amplification and installed loudspeakers built for systems that
simply have to run. In a home that means music in every room without a rack full of compromises. In a
restaurant, a hotel, or a retail floor it means the space sounds intentional at eleven in the morning and
again at eleven at night, day after day, without anyone thinking about it. [Blaze product pages]
IPORT
IPORT turns an iPad into part of the house. Mounted, charged, secured, and always in the same place on
the wall, it becomes the screen you reach for when a glance is faster than a sentence, a natural
companion to voice control rather than a competitor to it. Nothing to hunt for on the counter, and no
cable to trip over. [IPORT.io]
Together, TRUFIG, Sonance, James, Blaze, and IPORT create spaces where technology performs without
asking for attention. Add Josh.ai and the interface disappears alongside the hardware. What remains is
the experience, which is the entire point.
